Staffordshire Youth Action Kouncil (YAK)

I was elected chair of YAK for 2010 – the official young people’s advisory body to the Staffordshire County Council. I chaired meetings, met with officers and councillors, oversaw funding bids and represented YAK at national events.

UK Youth Parliament

Member for North Staffordshire / 2009

I represented North Staffordshire on the UK Youth Parliament for 2009. Along with participating in national and regional campaigns, I campaigned successfully against rises in bus fares specific to my town as well as working with district councillors to ensure approaches to drugs and litter were done effectively.
