General information
Congregations for the conferment of Bachelor and Higher Degrees (more commonly known as Graduation Ceremonies), take place in the Great Hall of Lancaster University in July for Undergraduates and in December for Postgraduates.
Detailed information is sent out early in March to undergraduates and early in October to postgraduates.
Ceremony tickets and timetables are sent out to undergraduates at College addresses during the first week of June and to postgraduates with UK home addresses during the first week of December. Those with non-UK home addresses can collect their tickets from the Ceremonies Office in advance of their ceremonies or on the day from the Great Hall Ticket Office.
We try our best to let all those who ask for them have up to two guest tickets. Any requests for more than two are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Children under 5 do not need a ticket if they sit on a guest's knee.
At the busier Summer Session the Ceremonies can be viewed on a 'LIVE VIDEO LINK' in Faraday Lecture Theatre for which tickets are not required.
