The Islamic Society aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere, support and help to anybody having an interest in Islam. We celebrate and take part in major islamic events, as well as educational, sports and social events, and hold gatherings regularly in our Islamic centre (currently in temporary Portacabin, near Infolab 21), which is also where we pray. It is open for everybody at all times. We hold meals and gatherings regularly to get people to know each other and have a taste of different cultures.
We look forward to meeting the new students and members, and offering them our assistance in every way possible, so please do not hesitate to come see us. We are all students just like you, so we will happily share our experience. You can email us at islamicsoc@lancaster.ac.uk for any information.
