You should contact Jennifer Whitfield during term time to make your booking.  The office hours are 9-1pm weekdays during term time.  

In booking the Centre you are agreeing to abide by the University policy on faith groups active on campus and to the following conditions:

Charges:

No charge during term time only for:

• University Departments for academic purposes, 
• University student societies  

if food or drink is to be served during these bookings a £10 charge is payable per booking

Please note that departments and societies also need to comply with performing rights charges below.

All other groups are charged as follows:

• Whole day block booking of the ground floor of the Centre: £96 (plus £10 if serving food or drink)
• If the Central Lounge is used to serve food or drink an extra charge of £20 is payable.
• Sessions in Quiet Room, Central Lounge, Jewish Lounge are charged at £6.00 per hour, with an extra £10 per charge if serving food or drinks.  For religious reasons no food can be served in the Jewish Lounge, unless prepared under kosher food regulations.

Performing Rights requirements on all bookings

• A fee of £3.00 (Performing Rights Society) will be added to any booking where music will be played, for legal purposes you are required to tell us if you are to use any live or recorded music during your booking.
• If a concert is planned where there is an entry charge, the Chaplaincy Centre must receive a payment of 5% of the box office takings to cover the costs of the Performing Rights Licence and administration.  A deposit of £50 is required at the time of booking which will be refundable against the final figures received.

All payments for bookings must be received at least 20 days in advance as confirmation of booking.  Failure to pay may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Insurance

As a condition of booking all those booking the Centre are to ensure that they have the necessary insurance cover for all their activities.

Children - Safe from Harm

If your group booking includes children, then it is your obligation to ensure that the children are supervised at all times by a responsible adult.  For safety reasons, children must not be allowed to run around the Centre unsupervised at any time.   The Chaplaincy Centre cannot be held responsible for any independent body using the Centre failing to comply with these regulations - any group found failing to provide adequate supervision will not be allowed to use the Centre.  Please refer to our guidelines here

Time of bookings

Room bookings are for hourly slots, but rooms must be vacated at 10 minutes before the hour in order to enable time for change over between bookings
