This workshop will be devoted to the science and technology of graphene and related materials. It will encompass experimental and theoretical investigations of electronic properties of graphene, including its band structure, characterization, electronic transport and spintronics, as well as mechanical properties, growth methods, and preparation techniques of graphene-based devices. The workshop will consist of oral presentations by invited and contributing speakers, plus posters by contributing authors.

Invited Speakers:

Tsuneya Ando (Tokyo Tech)
Hideo Aoki (Tokyo)
Toshiaki Enoki (Tokyo Tech)
Kentaro Nomura (RIKEN)
Katsunori Wakabayashi (NIMS)
Saverio Russo (Exeter)
Leonid Ponomarenko (Manchester)

Jonathan Coleman (Dublin)
Andrea Ferrari (Cambridge)
Irina Grigorieva (Manchester)
David Horsell (Exeter)
JT Janssen (NPL)
Kostya Novoselov (Manchester)
Junji Haruyama (Aoyama Gakuin University )

Participation

We welcome participation by all researchers (experimentalists and theorists) working on graphene or graphene-related materials or those simply interested to learn more about graphene. The workshop will start at lunchtime on Thursday 3rd, and will finish at the end of the afternoon on Friday 4th. A registration fee of £120 is payable (£80 for students), and it includes refreshments during the workshop, an evening meal and buffet lunch on Thursday 3rd February, and buffet lunch on Friday 4th February. The number of participants is limited to about 80 by the size of our meeting room.
