Dr Simon Mabon (PPR) was interviewed by BBC Radio Cumbria on the Gaza crisis, 19 November. (Listen again at 9.55 minutes into the programme.)

Dr Mark Garnett (PPR) was interviewed twice on 19 November by BBC Radio Lancashire about the recent elections for police and crime commissioners. (Listen again at 1.24.20 minutes into the programme.)

Professor Awais Rashid (School of Computing and Communications) was interviewed by BBC Radio Lancashire at 5pm on November 21 about his research into Cyber Security and child grooming on the internet.(Listen again at 1.06.08 minutes into the programme.)

Professor Corinne May-Chahal (Applied Social Sciences) was interviewed on BBC Radio 4 PM on 21 November, about a report by the Office of the Children’s Commissioner’s inquiry into child sexual exploitation in gang and groups. (Listen again at 37.21 minutes into the programme.)

Dr Caroline Gatrell (LUMS) was quoted in Stylist Magazine, in an article about new proposals announced by the government to extend flexible working rights to all employees. Dr Gatrell was also in the South China Morning Post about digital working.

LUMS and The Work Foundation, were featured in an article in Insider Media Limited, about a new £5m initiative to help London based small creative and digital companies to grow.

Professor Cary Cooper (LUMS) is quoted in Institute of Leadership and Management and also Personnel Today, about workers who do not take their full annual leave entitlement. Professor Cooper was also quoted in the Times Higher Education about mental health stigma.

Dr Mark Bacon (LEC) was quoted in Lancashire Business View, 2 November, in a feature about the potential in Lancaster for energy, knowledge and tourism industries.

Professor Sol Picciotto (Law) was featured in the Methodist Recorder, 16 November, in an article about the tax system.

Dr George Aggidis (Engineering) was quoted in Green Futures Magazine, in an article about new software capable of predicting the size and strength of waves.

Research into how facial expressions 'fetal yawning' develop before birth involving Professor Brian Francis (Mathematics and Statistics) was featured internationally this week in; Medical Express, The Guardian, Eureka Alert, Science Newsline, Argentina Star, Emirates 24/7, Science Daily, News Track India, Digital Journal, kenya Star, truthdive The Himalayan Times

Paul Hodges, who won Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year for his bespoke sausage company The Grand Old Duke of Pork, was featured in the Lancashire Evening Post

Mark Westcombe (LUMS), was featured in an article in the Lancaster Guardian about eco homes.

LUSU Involve , were featured in the Lancaster Guardian 22 November, in a photograph with local school children who took part in a pupil parliament event held at LICA.

The opening of Security Lancaster was pictured in the Lancaster Guardian, 22 November.
