Booking a Visit or School Workshop

Primary Schools

The dates and charges for 2012/2013 have not yet been decided, but enquiries are welcome at any time at ruskin.library@lancaster.ac.uk. Details will be sent to local schools during the second half of the summer term.

Secondary Schools and Colleges

We don't at present have workshops aimed specifically at these age groups, although we have successfully run the 'natural drawing' and 'making books' sessions with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils. We would welcome visits from these groups, and would be happy to discuss ideas to make your visit enjoyable.

Teachers Notes

Teachers' notes and other materials are sent in advance to schools participating in the workshops. They contain suggestions for activities for before and after the visit, and examples of Ruskin's work

Other leaflets, including a copy of 'A visit to the Ruskin Library' for each child and our publication 'Making Books' will be given to schools on the day of the visit.
