Lancaster was the highest ranked University in the North West of England in the National Student Survey, with teaching being one of the highest ratings.
In 2006 the University’s Collaborative Provision was subject to audit by the QAA and this received the highest judgement of broad confidence. |

Funded by the University from tuition fee income, we aim to widen participation at Lancaster University through a variety of outreach and University-based activities. |

This access programme provides a route into Higher Education for those who are capable of studying at higher education but have been disadvantaged by their personal circumstances |
| Higher education courses |
Over 5000 adult students take part in part-time Higher Education courses throughout Lancashire and Cumbria, on campus and via distance, on-line and blended learning. |
| Young Gifted and Talented |
Lancaster University leads the new North West Young Gifted & Talented Excellence Hub, supporting the government's aim to provide exciting activities for gifted and talented learners and educators. |
| Aimhigher |
We work with Aimhigher Lancashire to reach out to work-based learners and young people from excluded groups. We also run raising aspirations activities on campus and in schools for years 5-12. |
