Welcome to this page about me. This is a place for information about me, my research and my interests. I've created it to provide a central location for details about the things I do; one site with everything anyone might be interested in knowing, including myself!
My name is Sara Bury and I'm 24 years old. I'm originally from Bury near Manchester but currently I live in Lancaster in the north of England. I'm currently studying for a PhD in the Computing department at Lancaster University. For those of you that think Lancaster is a nasty rainy place, I include the picture to the right as proof otherwise! Also as this front page needed something to break up the boring text.
My personal interests include photography which you can find a little more about on the photography page, Mac computers of which I own many and desire more, Formula 1 racing, driving, listening to music (particularly K's Choice, Hooverphonic, The Fratellis, The Feeling, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, The Fray, British Sea Power... the list could go on), and also student radio which I've been heavily involved in during my time at the university, consistently as part of the management committee at Bailrigg FM for the last four years and currently holding the position of Webmaster. I'm also the sysop of the Lancaster University Bulletin Board System (LUBBS) and a member of the Computing department's CAKES team organising talks and seminars for and by research students. Thats about all really, I'm sure theres more to me than this but I hate writing these things. I think I'm pretty friendly, I also like talking to new people so please feel free to contact me if theres anything more you want to know about anything I might know about.
