Welcome to my personal website.
I am currently studying for a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research at Lancaster University. This forms the second part of the programme, having already completed an MRes at the STOR-i Doctoral Training Centre at Lancaster.
My project is titled 'Statistical Methodology for the Spatial Extent, Duration and Severity Aspects of Meteorological Extremes' and it is a collaboration between Jon Tawn at STOR-i and Simon Brown at the Met Office.
During the summer of 2013 I supervised Kathryn Turnbull of Durham University on a STOR-i internship project entitled 'Modelling droughts with extreme value theory'. More information about this project and others can be found at the STOR-i internship website. Kathryn produced a poster and presentation at the end of the project.
I have also started the STOR-i computing group (STORC) which is a group organised by students to share knowledge on common programs and techniques that can be useful when tackling academic research. We look to meet at least once a month; for more information on the group please visit the website.
This website contains information about myself and the work I am currently completing. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or require any more information.
