Grizedale College will have two graduation ceremonies on Friday 19 July 2024, and we have arranged two free celebrations during the day to ensure you all can spend some time in your college.

Tickets are free for graduating students and guests but they need to be booked in advance. They can be collected from the college office, room A05 Grizedale, until the end of term. Please remember to bring your tickets with you on graduation day. We warmly welcome your family and friends to join in the festivities, and kindly ask that you only attend one of the celebrations. Please refer to the relevant link below depending on your ceremony time to get information regarding your college celebration.

The Grizedale College Group Photo will take place at 12noon in Lancaster Square and normally takes around 30 minutes. All graduating students are asked to attend.

Itinerary

• 08:00 onwards: Collect your pre-ordered robe for the graduation ceremony from the LICA building. (Robes should be returned by 19:00) Personal photography by Creative studio.
• 09:30: Grizedale graduands in ceremony 1 (FST & LUMS) line up for procession and families make their way to the Great Hall. Grizedale bar will be open for graduands and families to relax in after travelling to Lancaster.
• 10:30 Degree ceremony 1 (FST & LUMS) begins. A live broadcast will take place in the Margaret Fell Lecture Theatre and the Faraday Lecture Theatre, which are just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Great Hall, for guests without Great hall tickets.Visit Mazemap for directions. The ceremony will be broadcast on the e-screens in Grizedale College foyer & bar.
• 12noon - All graduands go to Lancaster Square (next to LICA) for the official Grizedale College class of 2024 photograph.
• 13:00 - Grizedale graduands in Ceremony 2 (FASS, FHM, FST (excluding MBChB) line up for procession and families make their way to the Great Hall.
• 13:00 - Down to Grizedale bar for the ceremony 1 cohort! The University hospitality team have prepared a free Hog roast (vegetarian & vegan alternatives provided) for you and your guests who booked tickets in advance. You can relax in Grizedale quad with a complimentary glass of bubbly/juice from the College Foyer. Trio Continentale will provide live music.
• 13:45 - Degree ceremony 2 begins. A live broadcast will take place in the Margaret Fell Lecture Theatre and the Faraday Lecture Theatre, which are just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Great Hall, for guests without Great hall tickets. Visit Mazemap for directions. The ceremony will be broadcast on the e-screens in Grizedale College foyer & bar.
• 15:00 - Down to Grizedale for cohort 2! The University hospitality team have prepared a free Hog roast (vegetarian & vegan alternatives provided) for you and your guests who booked tickets in advance. You can relax in Grizedale quad with a complimentary glass of bubbly/juice from the college foyer. Trio Continentale will provide live music.
