Lonsdale consists of 776 en-suite rooms for undergraduates, creating a diverse environment, whether you are from the UK or overseas, post or pre-qualification, a school leaver or a mature returner to higher education, Lonsdale caters for all. For more information on rooms in Lonsdale College.

Lonsdale Bar

Lonsdale Bar and Events Room

Lonsdale is your very own pool bar with three match-quality tables. There is also a table tennis table and football table to use - see the Porters for equipment. The bar is used for events throughout the year and offers a range of standard and premium spirits, plus a selection of craft beers.

Kitchenette

Kitchen Facilities

There is a kitchen located on the ground floor adjacent to the College offices. The kitchen includes a cooker, microwave, sink, fridges and freezers for use by Lonsdale students, in particular those travelling in from off-campus accommodation.

Study Room

Located above the reception area, Lonsdale Study Room is open to all Lonsdale students. It has recently been refurbished to a high specification to be a dedicated study space.

Cinema Room

Located above the bar, Lonsdale Cinema Room is open to all Lonsdale students. It has comfy sofas and beanbags to be a dedicated space for watching media and holding presentations. Please contact the Lonsdale Porters to book this room.

Computer Room

The computer room is situated on the first floor of Lonsdale House with priority for Lonsdale students. The Library, the Learning Zone, and PC Labs are all available for you to use free of charge, with many facilities open 24/7 during term time.

Locker Hire

Students who do not live on campus can hire a locker for the duration of the academic year, useful for storing belongings that you don’t want to carry with you all day. Lockers are limited and are available on a first come first served basis. To obtain an off-campus locker, see Julie in the College Office (£10 deposit payable).

Mail

All parcels and mail are collected from the Porters/ Porters' lodge.

You will receive an email (via your University email account) from 'Parcel Tracker' when the College Porter processes any parcels or valuable letters in your name; present the QR code to the Porter in order to take the receipt.

Other letters will be placed in the alphabetised mailbox in the Porters' foyer (via first letter of your surname); please check your mailbox regularly.

Any uncollected parcels are returned to the University central post room after 5 days and mailbox letters after 10 days.
