The Algebra workshop is organised in conjunction with the Algebra and Representation Theory in the North (ARTIN) network.

The LMS Joint Research Group Functor Categories for Groups will have a satellite meeting on Stable Categories on the afternoon of Thursday 11th April. The North British Functional Analysis Seminar (NBFAS) will have a satellite meeting on the afternoon of Thursday 11th and morning of Friday 12th April. Registration is now closed. For late registration, please contact the organisers (bmc2019@lancaster.ac.uk).

The registration fee will be £100, with a reduced rate of £60 for PhD students. The registration fee will include a buffet lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please note that we have now allocated our financial support for PhD students.

The conference dinner will take place on the university campus on Wednesday 10th April and will cost £40. Bookings for this closed on Friday 29th March.

Accommodation

Participants may book on-campus accommodation via the University Visitor Room Booking website. The Visit Lancaster site provides links to a variety of other local accommodation.

For those staying on campus and arriving on Monday 8th, you will be able to collect your keys from the conference venue (the George Fox Building, GFX) during registration (12.30pm-2pm). A luggage storage room will also be available. Outside of these times, you can collect your keys from Bowland Hall (BLH on the campus map).

Financial Support

For UK-based mathematicians with caring duties the LMS has a Caring Supplementary Grant scheme which allows participants to apply for help covering caring costs.‌‌

Thanks to support from our partners, we have funding to support the participation of PhD students. However this has now been allocated.
