This website provides details about my educational and professional background, my research interests, my teaching responsibilities and my administrative duties, both internal and external. Please either scroll down or use the menu to navigate my website.


My research interests lie in the general area of communication theory and include the modelling, analysis, performance evaluation and design of communication systems. My focus has been on coding schemes for multiple-antenna systems and cooperative networks. Recently, my focus shifted to random linear coding over finite fields, as the means to reduce delay and improve throughput.


As part of my duties in 2018-2019, I am involved in the teaching of the following modules:

  1. SCC.160: Fundamentals of Communication Systems (BSc/MSci Computer Science)
  2. SCC.460: Data Science Fundamentals (MSc Data Science)


As part of my departmental duties in 2018-2019, I fulfill the following roles:

  1. Year 2 Undergraduate Tutor
Other duties include reviewing of articles for conferences and journals, participation in committees of conferences and research actions, monitoring the progress of Lancaster PhD students and evaluation of external PhD dissertations.
