SCC.400 - Research Methods

This 10-week module is part of the curriculum of the undergradute MSci and the postgraduate MSc programmes in Computer Science. During the first five weeks, SCC.400 is jointly delivered with SCC.460 (Data Science Fundamentals) to MSci/MSc students in Computer Science and MSc students in Data Science. Key topics include: types of research, language of research, framing research projects, empirical research methods, experimental research, study design and validity, and ethics. During the last five weeks, Computer Science students are divided into groups and work on group projects defined by the SCC.400 teaching team.
